I did not have much of a luck with this event so far, but we are sure going to try to brake the bad streak. Maciej have started in the rally last year and was 4th overall on Friday's regional and 2nd overall on Saturday's regional. We would love to at least repeat the same this year.

Rafal really liked clean, hot Tennessee asphalt, which resulted in 6th overall and 2nd in all 2WD cars and so far the best result we got toghether. Many of Polish media (radio, newspapers, magazines and websites) in US and Poland recognized the result very well.

Off to Rally Tennessee | May-02 2007 / 21:44 EDT | posted by GDorman | Comments  Just in last minute we got in to enter Rally Tennessee, third round of United States Rally Championship. After a really tough our home event, Rally New York, we are hoping to get back on the right pace and of course back to the 2WD championship race. Rally New York asphalt stages results prooved that if everything goes right we can fight for the top positions in 2WD. Let's hope this is going to be the case this time. It is my first time in Linden, TN, but from I've heard so far about the event, we should have a lot of fun there.

Rough Rally New York for Bergen Woodworks Rally Team | Apr-05 2007 / 19:53 EDT | posted by GDorman | Comments  Rally New York USA 2007 is one of the closest ones to our metropolitan area. Its would ba a shame to miss an event only 90 miles from where we live.
With all that said, we were also hoping for a great event and the stage times we set on the stages that we didn't have problems on prooved that we are fast. Many of the spectators or drivers who skipped the event, but came over to watch gave us a lot of good words. We looked fast, we were fast, but ... this is rallying. Not everything goes your way everytime. 15th overall, 8th in 2WD and 5th in class is all we were able to complete at this rally.

Off to another event | Mar-28 2007 / 23:23 EDT | posted by GDorman | Comments I had an another big brake in the updates, but here is short version of what happened lately:
- Janusz Kulig Tribute gallery was a success, even though we had a ice storm the night of the opening (photos to be updated soon)
- Rafal Listopad and myself went to Sandblast Rally 2007 in South Carolina, first event of Eastern States Championship and United States Championship. We had a god time and placed second in Modified 2 class as well as third in all 2WD cars. It felt like we raced at the Dakar Rally (photos to be updated soon)
- Now we (again with Rafal) are ready for next event this upcoming weekend. Rally New York, different stages and new experiences.

I'm sure everybody still remembers Janusz from Cherokee Trails 2002, where he finished second overall, only 1 second off of the winner David Higgins in Open class Subaru. Janusz was driving Group N Evo VI.

Chicago, IL - January 30th, 2007: Chicagoan Daniel Dondzik and his New Yorker co-driver Grzegorz Dorman call their opening rally, Sno*Drift, a good start to the 2007 season. For two days and 200 miles the Sidewayz Crew in their Hyundai Elantra 4x4 safely made it through seventeen special stages before reaching the finish line. There were seven special stages on Friday’s Sno rally, and ten stages on Saturday’s Drift rally.

Daniel Dondzik returns to the rally in a car with a past.
Chicago, IL - January 24, 2007: After a two year leave of absence, Daniel Dondzik, a rally car driver from Chicago, returns to face new challenges at the 2007 regional season opening rally, the Sno*Drift. The race is sanctioned by Rally America and will take place on January 26 and 27 in Atlanta, Michigan. Dondzik and his co-driver Grzegorz Dorman will battle in the Sno and Drift competitions, collecting new points for the season.

Over $55,000 goes to Poland | Jan-18 2007 / 22:49 EST | posted by GDorman | Comments  15th Final of the greatest charity in Poland behind us. Over 2 months of work gave The Great Orchestra of Christmas Cahrity Foundation over $55,000 which is another record. 2nd "Rally" of WOSP (the charity) went very smooth and Polish drivers were very happy that they could join this whole action. Drivers, co-drivers and rally fans will raise money for saving lives of children injured in accidents and for teaching CPR
